THE JOURNAL

The Oklahoma Journal Building was built in 1954 to house the Oklahoma Journal Newspaper. Previously known as the Midwest City Leader and the Midwest City News, from 1946 to 1964. In 1980 the paper ceased operations. The Building renovated in 2008. All floors were demoed, new windows, roof and updated façade's. The entry way was restored and 5000 feet of new office space was built out. The builiding has remained mostly empty for years. Our plan is to revitalize this building into modern living apartments. This will also include new construction of units on the vacant lots surrounding the building for a total of one hundred twenty one units. This will provide a unique style of living in the heart of Midwest City and continue the redevelopment of the Original Mile.
